How it started!

Hello! My name is Jordann Ojeda and I am the founder of The Daul House LLC. When I found out that I would be uprooting from Los Angeles, my home for the last 9 years, back to where I grew up, the Bay Area, I was crushed to be leaving my dream job. However, when one door closes, another one opens!  I knew I did not want to leave the teaching profession since my heart was so invested with what I did, so I decided that this would be the perfect time to start an educational business where I could share my expertise in the area of reading instruction. With The Daul House LLC, I am excited to continue my teaching practice and to impact young learners by helping them become successful readers.

About Me

Hello!  My name is Jordann Ojeda and I am the founder of The Daul House LLC. Here's a little bit about me :)

I am newly engaged and getting married at the end of this year! I have two dogs, Bugsy & Simba, that are my pride and joy. I love taking them to the beach and any adventure outside. I am a huuge foodie and love trying out new restaurants and testing out new recipes. I come from a really big family and loved growing up with so many cousins and family around. I am a Golden State Warrior fan and marrying into a Packer family. Being by the beach is one of my favorite places to be, especially with family and friends.

I have 5 years of teaching experience at a fully inclusive school, WISH Community School in Los Angeles. I was the special education teacher, however being at a fully inclusive school, I worked closely with all of the students and have experience with supporting students with special needs, teaching general education curriculum, and students who are Gifted and Talented.

I have experience with planning and developing curriculum, assessing and analyzing student data, developing individualized support plans and goals, collaborating with teachers and parents, and coaching, supporting, and teaching my colleagues.

I have experience with teaching in a 1-1 setting, small group settings, and whole group classroom settings. With the switch to distance learning due to COVID -19, I have adjusted my practice and can effectively provide instruction and complete assessments in a virtual setting.

I attended Loyola Marymount University and graduated in 2016. I studied elementary school education and special education and graduated with a BA in Liberal Studies and a Special Education Credential.

After teaching for a few years and learning that I really enjoyed teaching reading, I decided to go back to school to earn a Master's Degree. I attended California State University at Fullerton, where I studied literacy and reading instruction. I completed my program in the fall of 2020, earned a MS in Education.
